the commemoration continues here near dolores park.want to show you, they're getting ready, the set-up, san francisco fire, for the annual painting of the fire hydrant that saved the mission district during the 1906 earthquake. it's right there. there's folks standing in front of it, but they will be painting the fire hydrant shortly. as officials make their way over from another ceremony that just wrapped up on market street. that was the scene at the fountain on market street in san francisco at 5:12 a.m. a moment to honor the survivors and lives lost during the 1906 earthquake. today marks the 111th anniversary of that devastating event. now, that fountain served as the meeting spot for people in the after' math of the earthquake, and in the past, we have heard from survivors at the event, but the last survivor passed away in january of last year. you see city leaders such as mayor ed lee and san francisco police chief william scott at that event. that just wrapped up. want to take you back out here live where you're seeing they're
