they have a hook and they need to get close enough to this dolphin to hook the buoy and draw the dolphin the silver lining of the situation really, makes the dolphin easy to find and catch to rescue. >> once they're close to the dolphin this guy hooks the line, pulls the dolphin over to them and then one of the other guys reaches over, starts grabbing the line that you can now clearly see is wrapped around the dolphin's body. they're able to slide the line off through his tail, but then when the dolphin turns around the line is in its mouth. they shake it around a little bit and after quite the minor struggle, the dolphin lets go and off goes to swim into the ocean safely. turns out it's not the first time. they go on the water all the time and say they encounter this thing all the time. there's another video that they posted of the rescue of a pelican, it looked like it had a line hooked to its mouth. they were able to grab it, unhook it, and let it go. >> i know i have the last name bass but i don't understand about fishing where you can leave the line in the water. don't you roll it b

we went over there and we came upon a baby dolphin. the baby dolphin was just on the beach. now, what had happened is earlier there was a gentleman who found the dolphin actually up on a sidewalk. he had brought it down to the beach. when we came up there, he was like, i don't know what to do. i jumped in -- i've actually done some stories and spent time with noaa, and so identify been around dolphins for two decades and i understood where to touch, not to touch, not to grab onto the pectoral fin or dorsal fin. the problem was this dolphin, the baby one, was exhausted. it wanted to get back out but it couldn't. we tried to release it once, it didn't work. then i walked all the way out with it. i held it in the water about two or three breaks of waves out there. finally after holding it, letting it get a chance to catch its breath -- remember, they're maimles -- finally got its breath, got its bearings and then let it go. within minutes, someone said, is that a dolphin down there? we went down the beach down there and there was a full grown dolphin, i'll just call it the baby
