manske files a lawsuit on behalf of the pitts against lloyd and the village of dolton.settled out of court for an undisclosed amount. the defendants do not admit any wrongdoing. no charges are filed against the academy for learning and the school considers the case closed. christopher lloyd told msnbc on advice of counsel he will not comment, but referred us to the police report. the report states in part that pitts initiated physical contact and was, "verbally and physically combative." the report does not mention the videotape, which manske says contradicts lloyd's account of who initiated physical contact. the new dolton police chief, john franklin appointed in spring 2013 says he's appalled at what he saw in the video. the school incident isn't the first time officer lloyd has exhibited violent behavior. 15 months earlier, lloyd shot and killed his ex-wife's husband. >> officer lloyd claimed he was threatened and he was using self-defense. he was never charged for the shooting death of that man. >> and four months after the incident with marshawn, lloyd is arrested

fliers are posted in dolton describing the suspect. police are checking to see whether the attack is connected to an attempted sexual assault in a nearby suburb. a group of nuns marched in stone park, to protest the existence of a strip club just a few feet from their convent. the "missionary sisters of saint charles borromeo" say the "club allure" violates the law by being too close to the convent. and they object to littering, violence and other disturbances outside the club. the owner says the club is legal. it employs as many as 80 people. the sisters say they plan to hold a prayer vigil about the club every friday night. chicago firefighters approved a new five year contract with the city that includes "eleven percent" raises. those raises are retroactive to july of 2012. the city will also hire up to 200 new paramedics. mayor emanuel says this deal is a win-win, but he did not say how the city will pay for it. the city council still has to approve the contract. the mayor's office still has to figure out how to come up with the 60

dwyane filed a federal lawsuit against wade's lawyer, and against the police department in suburban dolton. siohvaughn funches-wade was arrested in 2012 and charged with child abduction and resisting arrest. ultimately, all but the *resisting charge were dismissed. now, funches-wade claims, police and her ex's attorney filed false charges against her. after the arrest, a judge ordered funches-wade to travel to *florida to visit their children, rather than sending them to the chicago area to visit her. a federal judge has removed himself from a long running court case involving michael jordan. jordan filed multi-million- dollar lawsuit against grocery store chain... dominick's. the judge recused himself... after jordan's attorneys claimed he was bias. he didn't go away quietly, though. he called the accusations on his integrity groundless and unwarranted. ironically, this same judge ruled in jordan's favor in this case several years ago... agreeing dominick's used his name without permission in a magazine ad. the two sides are still battling over those damages. mayor emanuel is winning inte
