right now we have brand new from dom.ng of higher prices we're watching shares of both salix and endo international. both shares are halted but endo international has confirmed that it is placing a bid to buy salix pharmaceuticals and the proposal is for $175 per share. again, in salix stock and cash. the cash and stock transaction, again, valued at $175 per share based on closing prices from march 10th. now, the company says it does believe its proposal is superior under the terms of its current agreement for salix to be acquired by valent pharmaceutical. they also note endo international that if a negotiated transaction were to be agreed with salix endo anticipates it could close this deal in the sending quarter and it's confident it would -- valent shares are still trading and down about 4%. they're off of their session lows, but, again, shares of salix and endo halted. we have confirmation salix, again, david faber has been reporting all day. salix has received an offer or endo has made an offer to buy salix pharmaceu
