dom. >> we'll follow technology theme. talking about big tech stocks that have done so well since last market pullback remember february 11, 2016 many s&p stocks have been technology oriented and a few behind me here top performers autodesk 158%, applied materials 200% gains there. micron, 279% chip stocks, amd, n nvidia, 577, 585% returns since that bottom on february 11 technology argually the most important sector out there in terms of the overall market. certainly names to watch if there's a pullback if there's a pullback could be biggest losers on the downside may be worth picking up. one thing to watch is high-quality stocks. these are stocks with better profit margin trends also what's happening with return on equity also better fundamentals overall. low leverage, that sort of thing. apple and microsoft are two of the technology stocks that often come up as two of the most heavily weighted stocks in these quality factor driven ets like qeal some of those names are ones to look out for in case they fall back as well

dom? >> well, melissa, fans of dividend paying stocks got decent news today with verizon announcing a boost to its quarterly dividend payment now, it's not much, just over a penny per share per quarter. but it represents the 11th straight year that verizon has boosted its quarterly payment. so that hefty near 5% dividend hasn't made up for the price loss yet some big and well-known widely held companies those happen to be among the biggest stocks in the s&p 500 overall. fellow dow component general electric, yielding nearly 4% now, it's near its highest level since early 2010 as we emerge from the financial crisis. there's also department store operator macy's yielding nearly 7% now amidst that 40% drop year to date for them near the highest levels since the financial crisis, now, traders and investors are trying to handicap how safe some of those are relative to others and whether it's worth the risk to get that heftier paycheck or perhaps wait things out. back to you. >> thanks x dom chu

dom?> what we have is jeffrey smith, star board's two best ideas, first is a name a lot of investors are aware of, perrigo. jeffrey smith, again, has board representation, has been an activist in the stock for quite some time over the past year he still says that the company have a world class supply chain, 7,300 skus, individual product numbers, a dominant market share for their portfolio, also a huge amount of growth opportunity he also talked about their generics business and higher opportunities for that particular business going forward. also that it trades at a discount to its u.s. and international peers. again, making the case for perrigo. also makingthe case for altaba formerly known as yahoo, he says, interestingly enough, this is a way to play potential tax reform in the united states if that tax reform does come to fruition, they can unlock a lot of potential with those stakes there, so jeffrey smith's two ideas coming up here, perrigo and altaba back to you guys >> that altaba
