domenico, what were you watching? >> we know president obama in past state of the unions has been big on jobs economy, work. tonight again jobs was a big number, 28 times he mentioned it. the economy 32 work 57 times. judy he did mention debt and deficit five times, just a quick count there at the end as you were mentioning that. these are all president obama's words clustered together from 2009 to 2014. last time around you can see economy jobs and work really stand out and that's a big difference from president george w. bush who, in his speeches, you see much more foreign policy dominating. we have iraq, terrorists must fight, weapons, all stand out much more in that cluster. president clinton before them people, work children, new all of these stood out. that was in a peacetime when president clinton talking about domestic issues and much more known for "i feel your pain." >> ifill: i want to ask you to pick up on that because i'm curious to the degree a wartime president has a different state of the union speech.

domenico, let's start with you. what are folks at the white house saying their priorities were for this meeting and for going forward? >> well, they're really hoping that they can find some area that's common ground. they said president obama brought up some things, like you mentioned. cyber security was one thing on the table. tax reform is always something that kind of gets dangled that some of us are kind of skeptical of. we listened to mitch mcconnell talk about we don't want to let an upcoming election get in the way. we just got through an election, but they're already talking about another election coming up. they do think there are some things they can(wnrk on, but the white house has already issued five veto threats on some item, the keystone pipeline an item in the affordable care act that they find to be unacceptable. they say that's republicans not wanting to compromise because they pushed through some of these, what they called recycled they knew the president would be against. >> ifill: lee centennial

political director domenico montanaro has been crunching the numbers. domenico, as the president lays out his plan for what it is he wants to do, what is it that we want to -- what is it that we see happened? >> there were about 18 items that were proposals that he wanted congress the act on. just two of those things actually made it through congress, when you look at it. on job retraining and on increasing research funding. on increasing research funding too, a lot of people say well, it wasn't really that much of an increase because in the year end of the budget it only went up 1.7% which kept with inflation, so not much of an increase there. when you look at some of the items that were big-ticket items the president called for that didn't get addressed you look at things like universal pre-k raising the minimum-wage cutting oil and gas subsidies those and 13 other items didn't get through. now, the white house will say that there are plenty of other ways to go about getting action done, like executive action encouraging states and that the some of wh

domenico's story. the virginia woman died during a race but was brought back to life thanks to a stroke of luck. the images are haunting. pictures that capture moments of panic as a man races to his car to get a portable defibrillator. it's for this woman, 47-year-old kristin d. unconscious during a race in virginia. >> i believe somebody was watching out for me. >> reporter: kristin is an avid runner has completed more than 100 races including 2 ironman triathlons. she is a personal trainer, nutritionist and life coach. without exaggeration health is her career and her passion. >> my heart is very strong. so there really wasn't that red flag to alert us that this was going to happen. >> reporter: kristin does have a heart defect. doctors told her it wasn't life-threatening and shouldn't stop her from running. but on october 19th while running a ten-mile race she says her heart suddenly stopped working. and she collapsed just a few feet short of the finish line. >> so i died. i had sudden cardiac death
