[laughter] he is responsible for federal government relations and has held a number of primary positions in the northeast over the years. he is very active in the public service arena, serving on numerous boards throughout the state of new york, massachusetts, connecticut and others including the independent power producers of new york. he is very active in benevolent organizations including being on the board of directors at the theater in connecticut. is a past chairman of united way of southeastern connecticut where he helped raise $9.3 million during a fund-raising campaign. he has a master's degree in finance and is -- his executive master's from iup in pennsylvania. dominion has been active in the spring campaign in virginia and the challenges we have given the business community for support of the food bags and dan has helped lead that effort. we kicked off the no child hundred campaign in virginia last year to show our strength in virginia and that was a tremendous kick off we

dominion is one of the largest producers and transporters of energy.n is a retail energy segment and a power generation division and nat gas processing, transmission and storage biz. in fact, they have the large of the gas storage operator in the country. it pushed prices on down to what i would regard to absurdly low levels. i like dominion because they understand the need for consistency better than anybody. it's called dominion resources because in the old days most of the money came from producing oil and gas which is a much more volatile business than running power plants. different businesses and it was hard enough to get your head around. management made the call to get out of oil and gas game, in retrospect, a brilliant decision and they held on to the storage assets since they're not as levered to the price of the actual commodity and are much more a utility. they were coming in 2 cents higher than the 64-cent basis. i have to dig deeper. so let's check in with tom farrell, chairman and ceo of dominion resources to find out more about the quar

here at old dominion, we have sort of an honor code. we all regulate the academic integrity of the institution by yourselves. it's the same thing for prisoners of war early in the civil war. they have to regulate this system of those who surrender. they have to hold to this parole. hold to this promise that they are not going to divulge any information. and some of these individuals take it very seriously. one example i can give you comes from september of 1862. a union colonel named moore is taken by the confederates. he is paroled very quickly because it occurs during the maryland campaign. and moore is given his parole. and he's sent off of this huge o cliftivety called south mountain. as he's walking down the national pike he bumps into the union army that's pursuing the confederate army. we've discussed the maryland campaign and the sense of urgency the army of the potomac had. now all of a sudden they have a union prisoner who is only a few hours removed from being in confederate captivity. and they were begging moore to divulge s

what a great deal for dominion.eap, down from nine when exxon bought xto, but it's now down to $2.70. you heard mark. it could go lower. consol seriously overpaid for these assets, and now they're stuck with exposure to the natural gas market, and it's a perpetual house of pain. no end in sight. one more thing, you own this stock, and the president is re-elected, look for some sort of carbon tax that could deck these guys, and if the house goes democrat, i'm telling you, that's a lay-up. plus, the sierra club seems to be running our environmental policies these days, and now they hate natural gas almost as much as coal. i get the bulletins every day. the eco political democratic nexus is totally stacked against this company. the bottom line, the coal analysts rate console a buy because they think it's the best of the bunch, but i think you need to sell this stuff because as long as coal is going lower and natural gas is in the gutter, consol's stock could be going lower too. being the best miner in the coal business
