let's go to don knapp at the mcdonald's where it happened with an exclusive look at some surveillance video that may help police capture this man. don, good morning to you. >> reporter: good morning. that certainly is the hope. we are standing across the street from the mcdonald's where this happened outside. we are on south bascomb a little south of 280. now, apparently, the shooter didn't care who saw him. he walked up to this person and fired from behind and then calmly walked away during a lunch hour when a lot of people were at the restaurant. but next door to the restaurant, there is a building with a surveillance video and there was a videotape made. let's take a look at that videotape to see what we see. you will see the shooter on the run. a woman apparently is reacting to the shot and turning around. a moment later the suspect runs by with a dark hooded sweatshirt holding a gun. the owner of liberty tax released the video to cbs 5. >> if we catch the person that done this harm to the young man that got shot, i hope they catch him and hope it doesn't happen again. >> the guy

let's go to don knapp at the bay area air quality management district in san francisco, where they are monitoring our air. don, good morning to you. >> reporter: good morning, sydnie. also, the state department of health has said that it's unlikely that anything will reach us from japan, probably dissipated by the winds. but if something should get here it would be too dilute to cause problems. yesterday the bay area air management district also saying that nothing serious is likely to happen. they are monitoring background radiation shows that radiation is below the background levels here in the bay area. here's what the u.s. surgeon general vice admiral benjamin has to say about it. >> we're exposed to radiation every day in our world and our society. but they are levels that are not harmful. and the harmful levels are not coming. so i think, listen up for your local and state health departments. the government is constantly monitoring. if there is any concern, we will certainly get that message out to you here quickly but right now you're not at risk. >> meanwhile, here in the bay a

don knapp is in concord tonight. don. >> reporter: ann, the bart train jackknifed as described to us by bart earlier today. you can look up the embankment and see the 8th and 9th cars a of a 10-car train. they are continuing to work on this throughout the night. they have a plan in place. a very large crane gingerly lifting two of the cars that derailed outside the concord bart station and put them back on the tracks. crews on the scene all day getting them back in service. the track has been tied up since two cars derailed about 9:20 a.m. this morning as the training was pulling out of the station. >> just started shaking back and forth. moving around. and it almost felt like we were going over stuff. and one of the ladies that was sitting next to me was like, i don't think we should be moving right now and she started getting up and that's when we started panicking. >> reporter: causing significant track damage and engineers are trying to decide if work in the area played a role. >> this is the first train to start
