now don scott, marty bass, and the latest breaking news from wjz's news team. your first warning weather and wjz traffic control with sharon gibala. it's wjz, maryland's news station. >>> it is the top of the hour, and what started out as steamy has turned into stormy in a lot of this area. kristy's got traffic after marty's first warning weather. >>> it's turned into a real storm in the past 5 minutes. before we put the radar in motion and zoom in on something, here's the current active severe weather alerts. for eastern baltimore county, harford county severe thunderstorm warning until 6:45. for central harford county until 6:30 we have a tornado warning in effect. now what i want to do is focus in on one particular area here. this would be central harford county just southeast of bel air. and that is going to be one heavy duty cell of rain, and i think this may be, you know, just a little west of crazy well. little west of crazy what we're talking about here with concern about rotation. this is where thunderstorms started meandering across the area here just

i'm don scott. >> i'm jessica kartalija. >> here's what people are talking about today, a resort hotel near orlando, florida starting to collapse over night. evan lambert reports from clairmont, florida. >> a giant sinkhole swallowed a three story hotel at the summer bay resort. >> we heard shaking and people are yelling get out of the building. >> one vacationer caught the collapse on his cell phone. >> we just started running out and throwing our stuff over the balcony to get what little bit we had. >> about half of the structure was reduced to a pile of rubble while another part of the building is still sinking. >> the whole corner is falling. >> authorities started evacuatt guests after they started hearing popping and cracking sounds. >> one person had to break out after a window to escape. >> the developer said the ground was tested 15 years before the resort was built. the sinkhole is about 50 feet wide and 15 feet deep. several nearly villas evacuated as a precaution. >> florida has a long and ongoing problem with sink hols. the state sits on a bed of limestone. >>> a kidnapped
