and we are not going into this question of donald trump cold. anization, c.r.e.w., last year represented residence in new mexico who brought a legal action against a guy named hugh we griffin, a founder of a group called cowboys for trump, somebody who organized people to come to washington on january 6, 2021. he participated in a press tour, rounding people up for that. he was on the steps of the capitol spurring people on to go into the capitol and use force and the court ultimately found that january 6, 2021 was an insurrection for the purposes of the 14th amendment of the constitution and found that this person, even though he was not personally violent, but wasn't somebody who organized it incited, engaged -- violent, but was somebody who organized and incited, engaged in insurrection. we think there's a strong law as to what the framers of the 14th amendment had in mind when they wrote this provision and what insurrection means today and that it applies pretty directly to the events of 2021 and to donald trump. that's ultimately going to be

using evidence they obtained with a search warrant from donald trump's florida residents. every ruling drudge cannon made in that proceeding was overturned by a panel of judges in the circuit court of appeals that included two trump appointees. there has not been an equal amount of suspense about how the trump criminal defense lawyers would handle this stage of the case. from the start, all experienced observers have been predicting that the trump side will try to delay every aspect of the case as much as possible, and that is certainly what they are trying to do in their first significant filing in the case, a ten page pleading followed by two signature pages, asking the judge for an indefinite delay in the trial. the trump lawyers do not suggest an alternative date to the december 11th trial date proposed by the prosecutors. the trump lawyers ask for no trial date battle. they insist to the judge, that a trial date does not really matter anyway because they, and donald trump, are expecting her to dismiss the case based on pretrial motions they promised to file. at the top

alvin bragg stretched a statute in manhattan to be able to try to target donald trump. people on the left acknowledge if that wasn't trump, that case would not have likely been brought against a normal civilian, and so you have a situation where the department of justice, fbi have been weaponized against people they don't like and the number one example of that happened to be against donald trump with the russia collusion that was not a legitimate investigation, that was being done to try to drive trump out of office, and so what i've said as president, my job is to restore a single standard of justice to end weaponization of these aejs and we'll have a new fbi director on day one and we'll have big changes at the department of justice. americans across the political spectrum need to have confidence that what is going on is based on the rule of law and not based on what political tribe you're in, and then the second thing i would say is this country needs to have a debate about the country's future. if i'm the nominee we'll be able to focus on president biden's failures
