donations of human ashes. other odd items... a prosthetic leg.. useds casts probably the craziest thing i've seen is a box of syringes.... i think people assume we'll take everything where we really prefer things that have a little bit of value to them things that are nice. c but among some of the crazy donations ...a treasure can be found... sometimes we get really neat, old antique furniture. and there are people who love that as a hobby. they will take old antique furniture and fix it up again we get a lot of antiques from the 50s and 60s.. i'm always shocked the items hold such value.. one hot wheel car can be worth 27 dollars... i'll look up a punch bowl and it will be worth 75 dollars. we've recieved some really incredible news clippngs... we get first edition wizard of oz books, we don't know if the person who donated it didn't know their value or just wanted to give it to us. but first edition wizard of oz books can sell on ebay for 10s of thousands of dollars and that's a huge donation. while they do
