supreme court rules because as donna says, the tide has turned.t regardless of what the court rules, we haven't heard the end of this. and it's going to be interesting because it's very complicated both of these cases. proposition 8 was something that was actually vote order by the citizens of california. and so for the supreme court to go in and overturn that, that's a big deal. the tea party movement stays out of the social issues because we can't even get everybody to agree on n. the same party, let alone across party lines. that's why we stick to the fiscal issues. but the 14th amendment gives us all equal rights. and nowhere in the constitution is the word marriage. so it will be really interesting to see what happens this next week -- or these next couple months as they are deciding these cases. but another interesting fact is that these justices, they're people, they live in the same society that we do. and you have to wonder how when donna talks about public opinion, the tide has turned, has that affected the justices. are they able to ins

i believe [speaker not understood]. >> thanks again, donna, for being here. i guess from my perspective, it seems like we had an issue, it was discovered -- it seems to me it was on the page an m-o-u signed to correct and no one is saying that no one is going to pay those prevailing wages. but how do we move forwardv and do it better going forward? so, do you have any thoughts around that? >> well, my thoughts are ~ before any work begins that we ensure that every subcontractor who is going to perform covered work and the event authority and oewd are clear what is covered work, meaning covered by the prevailing wage requirements, that they all understand their obligations. and both are paying the correct wage rate and for reporting it and maintaining certified payroll records to provide to the city to show that they paid it.

and donna, there's a lot of criticism, by the way, this is congressman don young from alaska.u know, a lot of republicans say, you know, what, democrats say all kinds -- stuff happens on twitter. i mean, people say stupid stuff. and when it's a democrat, they aren't jumped on in the same way that republicans are. >> i disagree. we're jumped on all the time. even we make low, stupid statements. but this goes to a broader issue that republicans addressed in the so-called autopsy report. where they said, there's nothing wrong with our principles, but how we communicate them. so pretty much, the warning is, watch your language. well, it's not just watch your language, it's, watch your policies. and in north carolina, just recently, the governor there, a republican, eliminated the office of latino affairs. so it goes beyond just simply watch your language. it goes to the broad issue of, will they reach out? >> this is a big shift, though, for the democrats versus the republicans. there used to be a time when the republicans controlled talk radio. and they could take anything democr
