money senior writer donna rosato is with us. the advice, how can you secure your job until retirement age? >> well, a lot of folks think their plan for retirement, if they don't have enough, is just to work longer. in fact, there was a recent study by transamerica that said more than half of people 50 and older said that they would retire at 65 or later. but the reality is most people don't even make it to 65. the median retirement age is 62. what you want to do is make sure you're constantly focusing on showing how valuable you are at work. that means showing that you -- you're constantly learning, that you're taking on new responsibilities. and another thing that we advise people is find a champion. someone who's going to be singing your praises when there are job cuts or promotions or, you know, layoffs. >> find a way to make yourself indispensable i always say. >> exactly. >> when it comes to retirement and how much money do you need, how much do you need to lead a good life, how much do you need to lead a comfortable life w
