commissioner dooley: i have seen all of these different things come out. the first one was that i would really like to recommend that any small, self-service restaurant under 1500 square feet or 50 feet could be incentivized to just have that be a neighborhood notification. i feel that these very tiny restaurants that are popping up all over needed additional break. the impact is very slow. they needed their own special category that gives them much more of a streamlined way to move in and get going. my other reservation, there is such a difference between district about the size or use. i think it would be better to make a set amount, 3000 square feet. i think it would be better to make that more uniform. just because i think some of those areas are 6000 square feet, i'm sorry, that is not a small restaurant. that is by other recommendation. on the retail coffee stores, i have a lot of experience in this area. i think it should be changed just to say that food preparation, except for that which might be cooked or reheated, using no more than a toaster ove

small business commission, kathleen dooley, i'm going to speak on my own. what i want to talk about is the consideration of the cumulative impact on our neighborhoods of so many chain stores opening. we look at these one at a time and they obviously seem fine, but the point is, we know the cvs will be in front of you many more times with many more projects in the city and we want you to start considering when so many go into the city what the cumulative impact will be on small businesses. it's not something that's readily addressed right now, but we are concerned at the commission about the formula retail code and starting to consider things on a citywide basis, not just on an individual project. one cvs is fine. two cvs is fine, but if you want to say 25 are coming in, that's going to have cumulative impact on the small businesses throughout the city of san francisco. so we're just asking you to start thinking in that direction. we'd like to work with you on some of these issues and i just wanted to bring that up today. thank you. president olague: thank y

further integration and the forward of the book is written by the university football coach vince dooley and that is appealed to him and he says into foreword so i interviewed brady caldwell and other blacks to keep after him and other whites met to make adjustments in the purple and white coaches like harold dean coke who supported grady and black players that follow him, as one of the themes and there's others in the book but one of the themes is that high school sports specifically football in the deep south did help further the integration in our part of the country. >> what was the mood on the team? did people talk about integration, did they talk about other black leaders? what was it like? >> that's a great question. i played in 1972, and by that point, our team was probably 65, 60% white, the rest black, but it wasn't discussed that just a few years earlier that was an all white football team and the color barrier had been broken in that particular school. it wasn't discussed by the players that i played with and the interviews i think in this book would help the readers understa
