on the technicals is abigail doolittle at the seaport group and risk reversal.com. guys, welcome. of moving parts. we'll keep this tight. abigail, what are the charts telling us? >> scott, the charts are telling me you want to take profits. when we pull up a one-year daily chart, we see a nice ascending trend channel. that means buyers have been in control. however, on today's pop, we've hit the top of the channel, and that suggests selling pressure is ahead for a drop back down into the channel, the range, below $22. supporting that bearish possibility, this morning's move on the gap up, likely to fill at 23.94, plus the divergence of a broadening formation uncertainty on the part of investors is likely to pull ge down not just to the bottom of the range at 22, but possibly through it for a move to 20. so i'd be taking profits here. >> ennis, you buy that? what do the fundamentals say? they seem to suggest from the earnings at least a much different picture. >> yeah, in an environment for large multinationals in the u.s., it's been difficult. ge gets more than 50% of its revenues

the technical, abigail doolittle back with us from the seaport group, and john stevenson is with firstt. good to see you both. john, let me kick it off was you. twinkies aside, what's your outlook for walmart, in light of the rising gasoline prices? >> yeah, i think a great sale on the short side. it's great news the twinkie drought is over. but the stock is looking tired. it's very hard for it to move the needle. the company is absolutely enormous. the company itself is only guiding to earnings growth of 0% to 2% and will revise it downward. i think it's going to struggle, and i think the other reason you don't want to be in the stock right now is because, quite frankly, the market's moving to cyclicals and away from defensive. i think the timing is right. i think the valuation's okay, but it will trade lower. again, i think this is something you'd be more inclined to short rather than go long. >> abigail, what does it look like from your standpoint? >> twinkies may be back, maria, but when we think of the sweet treats, they're likely to be a snack for the walmart bears. walmart has s

on the technical side, it's abigail doolittle, at the seaport group, and brian white, analyst topekaal markets. brian, who has the better deal? carl icahn, michael dell, what do you do with the stock? >> it's definitely been a roller coaster of a ride this week. three major developments. carl icahn comes through with the financing he need, writes an open letter, $14 bid. then on wednesday, we heard special committee ask dell to raise their price, and today we're hearing that silverlake-dell will not raise their price. i think -- you know, i think carl icahn has the superior bid. a $14 price versus $13.65. if you look at the eps accretion, as he buys back the shares, it's significant. if you value it six times multiple, some of the eps numbers, like 372 to 555, you get 20 to $30. >> would you buy it here? >> i think it's good buy here. i think something will get done. it's possible share holders may vote this down on july 18th. i think carl icahn wants to own this. i think he wants to turn it around. he sees his plan as a better alternative to enhance shareholder value. >> abigail, wh

on the technical side, abigail doolittle, and ennis is at risk reversal. welcome back to you.is, start with the fundamentals. do you like either of these banks at this point? >> i like the commercial -- the large commercial banks of which wells fargo is a leader. in fact, wells fargo is the mortgage banking giant in america. it's the largest originator of mortgages. the housing market, despite the back up in rates, is still relatively healthy, and on top of that, the valuation is consistent. on the other hand, jpmorgan a cheap valuation, but much more exposed to the capital markets side of the business, which includes the investment bank where international revenues are a big contributor. i think that could be a concern because of the increased volatility we've seen over the last month. i expect more earnings volatility and hence lower prices for jpmorgan. >> so you disagree with both of the calls today. you're the opposite today. >> exactly. >> abigail, how do the charts look? >> good points made by ennis, but the charts i agree with the analysts upgrading jpmorgan and upgrad
