doug mckelway is live in dc. doug? >> that's right, greg. today's report in the "wall street journal" suggests the enrollment figures do not present an accurate picture. the report is based on surveys of over 4,000 americans. it found only 11% of consumers who purchased under obamacare were under insured. it was to provide insurance to those who didn't have it. now it appears those who the law was most intended to serve are not enrolling. the journal found of the 2.2 million people who sought to enroll in the exchange through december 28th, at least two-thirds were covered through private health insurance plans or employer plans. it is one of the republicans -- one of the reasons republicans are pushing the obamacare. >> the first act would make it so every single american has the feasibility to purchase coverage. tax deductions, tax credits, refundable tax credits, advancable refundable tax credits or coupons. basically making it so everyone has the incentive so they can purchase what they can't for their family and not what the government

we will check in with the suzanne kennedy in a moment but we begin with doug hill who is tracking the storm. continue to watch doppler radar as the snow continues, it is snowing so heavy, the snow is there and the areas in blue show areas where the snow is the heaviest. a strong snow band may lay down a little more accumulation. the rest of the area, probably not so much. as we go be the story through the next few hours. everything will consolidate off the coast of southeast virginia as the major the pressure continues to wind up. that will eventually take all of the snow offshore that it will bring in stronger wind and that will open the door to colder temperatures as we go later tonight. strong wind will be developing around the region over the next several hours. you will hear them as the wind starts to crank up. windy and cold will be the big story. the air temperature in the single digits. crews have other chemicals to help a but again the big story, the legacy will be the blowing and drifting of the snow and the cold air. right now the temperature is 25. when the storm intensifi

doug will be back in a few minutes on when the snow will end. a breakingon to item, breaking news, we just learned bob mcdonnell and his wife have been indicted on federal corruption charges. is in the newsroom with the details on this story. >> huge news. i have been poring over this indictment, which paints a scathing picture of a quick well pro involving the governor. a lot of people covet -- calling this a sad day in varying -- the pro quo involving governor. a lot of people calling this a sad day. scientific, ain dietary supplement but it needed clinical studies in order to legitimize it and make it popular for doctors to recommend. the governor helped make that happen and he received private flights, vacation, golf outings and cash from jonnie williams and the governor was in dire straits financially, he wrote a lot of money in multiple properties and they took 1 -- more than $100,000 in loans from williams. although it appears they gave back much of what they received, prosecutors say this was a scheme to use their influence for personal

doug hill has all the answers. >> light snow here. 31 degrees now. let's get right to doppler radar. we have seen this all day and all night. slowly moving from west to east. see that thely package is moving through the metro area. the snow will continue east along the shore. all part of the big storm. still a lot of rain offshore. that snow is coming down the coastline. precipitation is coming to an end. colombia maryland and howard county, five inches. 2.5 inches in winchester. in the district, 1.5 inches of snow. the snow -- winter storm warnings have been dropped. east of the metro area they will continue a while longer. cold. temperatures, 14-21. winds of 20 miles per hour. gusting over 40 mile per hour at times. that is why there is a wind advisory in effect until noon tomorrow. is going to be very cold. that is the problem. freezing. some of the rows will not have time to evaporate. they will free solidly. traffic could be in over -- an issue overnight and in the morning. they were closed for several hours as snow fell. roads are back open and

doug? >> yeah, it's going to continue to move in overnight tonight. and as it does so, we are going to start to see that change over to freezing rain. we already have temperatures below freezing. take a look. we'll show you where this advisory includes. it includes just about the entire viewing area. the only exception towards st. mary's and calvert county that is it. the northern neck not in there, but everybody else under a freezing rain advisory up to a tenth of an inch of freezing rain. and that will cause problems on those roadways. especially the back roads. we're not really talking about the highways here. i think we're talking about the secondary roads. and that's what you have to watch out for. storm team 4 radar nothing around d.c., but back to the west. we are seeing some snow making its way down. a lot of this not hitting the ground. it's going to take a while before we start to see this making its way. in we have a lot of moisture beginning to converge on the area. and with temperatures that are now below freezing in most areas, we're at

doug kammerer, you said earlier that we're going to be in the freezer for several days. that the story you're sticking with? >> that's still the story we're going with, jim. i'll tell you what. temperatures in the freezer for sure. but not just for a couple of days. we normally see this during the winter. one or two days below freezing and maybe in the 20s. we're in this for about a week to ten more days. it's really going to be that cold. we'll take you down towards union station. notice the flag blowing in the wind. that wind is really kicking up. winds upwards of 15 to 25 miles per hour. and with the cold temperatures already, you get the devastating windchills. 4 below in gaithersburg. dulles coming in at 4 below zero. and annapolis at 5 degrees. a very cold night. it's going to be a very cold morning. that's why we have the windchill advisories up once again from loudoun county over towards montgomerie county and howard county and maryland down towards northern fauquier and back to the west. you're under there for windchills between 5 and 10 below zero tonight. even
