doug mckelway is live at the virginia tech campus in blacksburg with the latest. ug, what else do we know about the suspect here? >> well, we have learned that he is the man who car jacked a 2011 per sadz suv from rat ford, virginia about 15 miles south of here. on webs of this week, apparently this car was parked in front of a real estate office in rat ford. the man went into the rae office brand doishing a handgun, demanding the keys. got those keys and hopped in the mercedes suv and took off. that car was not discovered until yesterday. it was found here on the campus of virginia tech. aside from that incident it turns out that he he had very relatively insignificant record at least that we have been able to determine in the few minutes since we found out his identity. he got a speeding ticket traveling 38 miles per hour in a 25 zone and that he a court appear innocence in february of 2012 in regards to that. but the arresting officer in that particular case was not officer krause, the officer whom he later shot. so that's basically it. very, very confusing and
