man who posed as a cancer-stricken teenager online is facing child pornography charges. 38-year-old douglas patrick represented himself as an 18-year-old lesbian with cancer in order to get teenaged girls to send him naked pictures of themselves. he's been indicted by a federal grand jury and is facing charges in the case. >>> a car chase ends in a multivehicle accident in maryland. the person behind the wheel is still on the loose. the car was chased into prince georges county last night. it caused a five-car crash in temple hills. several people, including a state trooper are hurt. the car-jacker was able to jump out and run away. police continue to search the area for him this noon. >>> right now the state attorney general's office is reviewing the case of a johns hopkins student who killed a man with a samurai sword. this comes as police provide more information on how the incident unfolded. wjz stays on the story with mike helgrin. >> reporter: that review process could take days or weeks. police have recreated the scene and say the student hit manhattan with the sword just one time. >

jim douglas discuss the role of state government in the health- care system. . . >> in 1971, as a new york times reporter, he received the pentagon papers. he won the pulitzer prize for "a bright shining lie." he will discuss his latest this weekend. q&a is sending night on c-span. >> house republicans spoke with reporters on thursday about their ideas for health care legislation. we will hear from several republicans, including fox -- including conference chairman mike pence. this is a half hour. this is a discussion that we will come. we hope to find areas of agreement with the president to enact positive health care reform. however, our whole effort has been hindered by the president's recurring inaccurate statement that republicans have no plans for health reform. his challenge to negotiate the other side [unintelligible] whether the president is being disingenuous or whether he is misinformed, we do not know. but we have come here to say today that republicans have plans for health reform, that the status quo is not acceptable. we have plans to put patients and doctors in charge.

rene, let's start with the heat expert, douglas kosa from heat and hydration issues at the university of connecticut. now, he's a prosecution witness. ha did he come with? >> one of the key things he said today is what you mentioned earlier in the intro there, that he suspects that max gilpin's body temperature was closer to 109 degrees when he collapsed out there on the football field. when he was taken to the children's hospital here locally, his temperature registered at 107.4. he also walked the court through all of the steps that could have been taken to stop the heatstroke, to help max gilpin survive that heatstroke. he said heat strokes are 100% survivable if all of the proper measures are taken. a lot of the things that he talked about, like submerging someone in an ice bath, that measure was not taken with max gilpin. also very interesting towards the end of the day, we heard from two different doctors at the children's hospital here in louisville who treated max gilpin, and they say, they gave conflicting reports about whether or not he was fully hydrated. one doctor said sh
