jamie leary is live in douglas county at the justice to center. this girl's attorney is fighting to get her case back to juvenile court i understand. >> reporter: that's right. 16-year-old, brooke higgins once again will appear in adult court this morning. the purpose of this morning's hearing is what's called a reverse transfer hearing. they are going over the logistics, the upcoming reverse transfer hearing. this is important for her attorneys because the reverse transfer hearing that is coming up will determine whether or not the judge's decision to put her in adult court could be reversed. ultimately, what her attorneys it was just last week that brooke higgins was seen here, charged as an adult officially last week. two counts of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder. the week prior, the second 18 connected, 16-year-old, sienna johnson, also charged as an adult with the same felonies. higgins and johnson were arrested on december 12 on suspicion of conspiring to kill students and staff at mountain vista high school and highlands ranch. aut

police arrested higgins and another student in december after somebody tipped off douglas county sheriff's deputies about the plans. >>> in a follow-up story to a story we brought you yesterday, surveillance video gives a pretty clear image of a skier accused of throwing a snowboarder off a lift in aspen. investigators have been looking at the surveillance cameras at the bottom of the exposition lift and other spots around the mountain and they are confident they will be able to identify the skier. deputies are also reportedly interviewing several witnesses who say they saw that skier push the other person off the lift on sunday. that snowboarder said he fell 25 feet. county investigation and the aspen times say the skier lives in that area. >> what was that person thinking? >>> 6:36. marijuana shop owners can't get a loan from a bank, so they're

this morning - one of those girls will be in a douglas county courtroom. 9news reporter colleen ferreira is live outside the courthouse. colleen - it's possible formal charges could be filed today. this hearing will take place right behind me at 8:30 this morning. we are hoping to learn more details about the case today. documents have been sealed but we filed a motion to have them unsealed. this all started back on dec 12- when two students at mountain vista high school in highlands ranch were taken into custody in connection with a threat at the high school. we know someone send a text message about the alleged conspiracy to douglas county...investigat ors determined it was credible and took both girls into custody. one of the girls was later transferred to jail on suspicion of conspiracy to commit first- degree murder. she appeared in court on dec. 17... at that time prosecutors asked for a delay.,.before making a final decision about filing charges. we don't know the status of the second teen authorities say she was in a "secure facility." a judge previously ordered both of the girls

a 24-year-old douglas county man is accused of killing his 2-month- old daughter--- a year ago. trent getty's trial is scheduled for may 9th. while the public and press will be allowed to watch those proceedings... that's not the case for some hearings scheduled this week prior to trail. kolo 8 news now's terri russell is taking closer look at why the court banned the public, and the media. two month old ava getty succumbed to head injuries at renown medical center in january of 2000-15. washoe county's coroner testified the baby's death was due to blunt force trauma to the head. that was in preliminary hearing for ava's father, trent getty, who says the baby fell out of her swing while he fell asleep at the family home. getty was bound over for trial and has been in jail since january 10th of 2015. and this week hearings were slated to determine what evidence would be admitted. what that evidence shows, we don't exactly know. that's tod young banned the public and press from witnessing those hearing which are underway until friday. barry smith/nevada press association: i think
