[speaker not understood] douglas yip. i would like to say for the record that the dead man's curse has entered into district 7. it's pretty unfortunate what happened last week. but if the supervisors continue to ignore the dedman, i guess he has his own way of sending his own message. secondly, for the record, i'd like to say that i see a pattern in district 4 and 7. ex-mayor newsome failed miserably with his triple play. most of us had to endure supervisor elsbernd and now in district 4 it's happened twice. so, we barely survived the first one. we'll see how the second one goes. >> mr. yip, if i could ask you to direct your comments to all the supervisors instead of single out supervisors, that would be appreciated. >>> all right, that's fine. >> thank you. >>> anyway, i would like to say i would like to see this pattern stop. in my opinion, it seems like it's nothing but political cronyism, and i think that the west side in general has lost a lot of influence, especially to the progressive supervisors. so, i think that

my name is douglas yip and i've lived in san francisco for 61 years.ould like to speak in favor of this item. i think in order to be fair to everyone, i should mention for the record the examiner article, i think it's dated either 2/19 or 2/20. headline reads san francisco doctor laguna honda hospital whistle blower lawsuit, set to cash in. in that article it mentions two, not one, but two suspicious use of funds from the patient fund. and if i remember correctly, those major newspapers carried articles in the past years regarding complaints from the staff at laguna honda regarding suspicious use of patient fund money. now, i'm thinking that there should have been some sort of public report done on this, but then i don't remember hearing about it so i might have missed it somewhere along the line. so, i think it's within the jurisdiction of this committee since we're talking about $500,000 to make sure that it doesn't get suspiciously used. and in my opinion -- in my opinion, ex-supervisor elsbernd and ex-supervisor chu had a hand in slowing down an in

my name is douglas yip and i've lived in san francisco 61 year. would like to thank supervisors breed and yee for the aggressive questioning in regards to mr. murphy's business activities. i think it is an obligation of a committee like this to aggressively look at the activities without taking one side or the other. so, just by the fact that you brought it up and examined it, i think that's something that most committees here at city hall do not do diligently. secondly, i would like to offer a suggestion since he mentioned about his past activities and certain government positions. so, i was wondering whether this committee might think this is the proper venue to inquire about the current status of the female head of building inspection. the last i heard it was in soderth of a -- sort of limbo land. also i'd like to get mr. murphy's opinions to the past port controversies regarding one of the port's leaders. ~ if i remember his name correctly, it was doug chan. thank you. >>> good afternoon, i'm simon [speaker not understood], an architect in san
