what i'm i'm actually at the site of what was billed as the great mobilization for home douras a protest and i think the picture probably says everything there's not really anyone here there are more protests scheduled a bit later this evening but it is certain the protests of things going down at the beginning of this week there was a brief flare up and since then there's been a real decrease in the number of people that are willing to go out in the streets in opposition to president and this and his government there's a couple of reasons for that the first really is that for a lot of people they feel like this ship has sailed and it really did when the u.s. government rubber stamp president and this as the president meets second term lay in december if that country has a lot of influence and puts a lot of money into home tourists the other reason is that there's been a lot of presence of the army and also the military police so to cracking down on protests we've seen more than thirty people dead in the two months since people have been demonstrating we do also see looting and violence
