over in ocean city, man, the heat is on on the boardwalk. 92 degrees right now. 85 in dover and easton right now at 86 degrees. satellite picture, this looks a whole lot worse than what it actually is. the satellite is looking down from 22,300 miles up in space. so the light thin overcast we had throughout the day shows up as kind of like a total overcast. it wasn't that bad of a day. we did have some showers activity out to the west. it's trying to make its way in our direction. we're seeing some showers gradually making their way through central portions of virginia. looks like the majority of the showers are going to run right through this region right here. we could see one or two pop up here in the baltimore area a little later on this evening but quite frankly the majority of of the rainfall will be missing us down to the south. on the largest picture, sections of arkansas, down into mississippi and sections of louisiana and tennessee got hammered with showers and thunderstorms. but here's that little system trying to make its way across the mountains. there's a lot of moisture b

a look at the heat index, easton feels like 105. 100 in dover. feels like 96 right now in downtown baltimore. the tropical atlantic, take a look alternate what's going on behind our logo. yeah, there's hurricane bill. very strong storm, but not as strong as yesterday. it's lost a little bit of power. psyche where it is in relationship to florida and the carolinas. still way out in the atlantic here. the national hurricane center still thinks bill will curve to the north as a category three or four storm. right now 125 miles per hour for the winds. still a dangerous storm. moving at 16 miles per hour, but as it moves northward it will run into cooler water which means it will limit it a bit. it's not threatening the continental united states though. it's turning. a few clouds around today, but lots of sunshine. that moisture flow continues to give us all that humidity up the eastern sea board, which is giving rise to the shower and thunderstorm activity, which is currently showing up on maryland's most popular radar. the activity in pennsylvania i

dover at 81. 82 at pax river.n the boards in ocean city, not much time left for summer time, 83 degrees right now. the heat index makes it feel like 83, even though the temperature is really 82. a little humid. but things are going to cool down. early we had shower and thundershower activity over the coastal sections of virginia. that shower activity has stayed there throughout the day. that's with it's been generating. right now we're seeing is showers lower portions of delaware, stretching on down through the easton area, just south of easton getting a few scattered showers. these showers out in west virginia will not bother us. we're going have a mostly clear sky tonight. right now maryland's most powerful radar indicating some pretty good heavy shower activity right there. as you can see around the black water, salisbury getting scattered showers. but ocean city looks like they are precipitation-free. temperatures right now, from the storm center weather net, live data, 80 in potomac. 80 in reisterstown. north

we're at 77 over in dover. almost 80 in ocean city. we're getting the wave heights coming down. at one point we had bowie reports waves pushing 14 pete offshore, now they have calmed down to about half that, 6 feet of wave height off of bridge city. a bigger cell moving across eastern shore that at one point was putting some pretty heavy rain across the northern part have the chesapeake bay. out a little wider here, show you what's goin' on. high pressure trying to push in out of the east. drier air is going to punch in tuesday, wednesday, tomorrow though i think this storm system, the boundaries are gonna kind of sting have stick around, mean the difference for a couple of pop-up showers. what you're seeing here, the trailing moisture, that is in behind what is left of bill, category 1 pounding the canadian maritime promises but no worries for us in that regard. again the wave heights out here off ocean city continue to go drop. we don't pick up much active weather here put you know a couple of pop-up showers toward virginia. could see a few of those around baltimore. into tues

temperatures 80 degrees in baltimore. 77 in easton. 81 degrees in york. 72 in dover, delaware.certainly feels hotter than that out there. we still have an heat index reading this because of all the humidity in the air. it feels like we're in the mid 80s in baltimore. it feels like 83 in easton. the satellite radar composite shows we have quite a bit of cloud cover out interest. a lot of it is hazy thin cloud cover. and it's still unsettled enough to be bringing us some thunderstorm activity. generally, that is due to the fact that we have a stalled out front along the coast, and that's creating some instability. and so the thunderstorms tend to form along that line and stick around and give us a chance of things of that nature. also, we have a bermuda high. that continues to pump that warm, moist air into our region. off to the west of us, though, we do have a nice ridge of high pressure. that as it comes into our region over the weekend will dry things out for us a little bit. so it's still going to be hot, but it's not going to feel quite as oppressive. here is the forecast o

atlantic city 82. 85 in dover. and elkton right now at 82 degrees.atellite picture throughout the day, shower and even some thunderstorm activity was in evidence across the eastern shore. throughout the day, on and off shower activity. that big area of high pressure, that area of high pressure is going to gadly make its way towards the east. and what is going to happen, as that area of high pressure makes its way over the top of the region, what we're going to be getting is a clockwise circulation of area around that high pressure, which is going to give us a more northeasterly to easterly breeze during the day tomorrow. but that's not going to help the heat. it's going to start making its way back up into the region. the clouds you see in the area right now, they're going to be falling apart. a pretty nice evening is on tap. and by early tomorrow morning, with the arrival of this area of high pressure, you thought it was cool this morning, you wait until tomorrow morning. it's going to feel on the chilly side. right now no precipitation around balti
