, as well as through 3 pm with widespread rain and heavy downpours. watch as we go through the evening at 7 pm, this line is the actual front pushing across the north bay first. when the front passes through the region you will see a burswi strongest wind. as we go through 8 pm here we go with that front pushing across san francisco, oakland as well as 10 pm when it pushes across the south bay. watching that cold front push through this will likely be the strongest storm we have seen so far this season. the future cast rainfall amounts looking at anywhere from 1 1/2 inches up to three inches across the north bay with the possibility of flash flooding with that saturated ground. we had all of that rain yesterday and the ground is already saturated with heavy rain expected later today. we have possibility of roadway and highway flooding. this purple color indicates gusting conditions up to 40 to 60 mile an hour wind gusts. the wind advisories in effect for the entire bay area with a high wind warning for the hills and the coast today. the 7-day forecast

pretty good downpours near palo alto which eventually will get closer to san jose in the next half houre trend will be on the decrease in terms of those showers that should take us into the morning forecast through 7:00 a.m., not a lot of rain expected. things will be changing rapidly around midday. more wind picking up. highs again staying fairly cool in the mid 50s. and this time around we're going to see a lot more rain. we'll show you the timeline coming up. first, the wind. picking up around midday. again tomorrow looks like wind gusts may be as high as 45 miles per hour in the hills. notice how the wind speeds stay high through 9:00 tomorrow night. what's different about the sunday storm is once we go from scattered showers, what we're seeing now and once the rain gets started around late morning, notice how we go from 11:00 a.m., 3:00 p.m., to 7:00 p.m., it's still raining out there. that will support much higher rainfall totals, probably one to two inches in most spots, especially in the coastal hilltops. by monday, just like magic as we approach the championship game, we begin

it downpours. it certainly is not raining everywhere. the 101 corridor is dry, but to your east and west in the hills it's a steady rainfall including west of healdsburg and west of santa rosa. we head out toward brentwood, oakley and discovery bay, showers just leaving livermore and the 680 corridor was wet 15 minutes ago. it is currently dry. we will have rain from san jose north to santa rosa. quickly after that it tapers off to showers and your saturday is looking mainly dry with a little sunshine thrown in. your head lines, this widespread rainfall likely until about 10:00 tonight. then we go into shower mode until sunrise tomorrow and speaking of tomorrow, that will be the last mainly dry day for a while because a much wetter erlldevelop sunday and last for much of next week. we'll talk about how much rain to expect coming up in a few minutes. >>> now to a developing story, this evening a father opening up about losing his daughter. she is the rookie davis police officer who was killed in the line of duty. >> she was 22 years old.
