you can imagine i lived in downtown boston and you cannot spit without having a teaching hospital. our health care issues were unique and required an awful lot of tweaking in washington in terms of getting reimbursements for medicare and medicaid. he was always there on issues like that. the real basic kind of bread- and-butter work that gets done in congressional and senatorial offices, no one did it better than ted kennedy. because he is such a huge figure it is one of those things come on so many different issues, sometimes the little things get lost. at the end of the day they're not such little things to the people who are waiting for a visa for a relative, or passport, or waiting for someone to clue through the thicket of red tape in washington to get something done. so, those of the things that kind of stick out on the local level for us. there is probably not a reporter in town who does not have a billion personal stories. this man, it did not matter whether you were for or against him. he was always just a very kind hearted and a thoughtful. and more than one occasion he w

downtown, relatively dry. looking what's going on on regional temperatures. across the mid-atlantic. 73 in harrisburg. 82 in new york. bostoncool 68 degrees. one of the nice days to open up the windows. 80 in richmond. still warmer and toasty. back northwest. cooler air moving in behind the cold front bringing the showers and thunderstorms. especially across parts of pennsylvania. over virginia. right around maryland though, baltimore, we did not get a lot of activity rain wise. but there were showers and thunderstorms firing up and erupting over pennsylvania. heavy downpours of rain and few severe thunderstorms in adams county earlier and york county. but looking at 81 baltimore. 81 in d.c. 82 in fredericksberg and continue to see the temperatures warm up through the day tomorrow. back into the mid to upper 80s. and good news is, like i said, relief pushed through and we will continue to see just slightly cooler temperatures with off-and-on shower through the next several days. future scan shows a clear start for the morning commute. then a few pop-up showers possible by late afternoon. then we will see a nice quiet night
