danville police. a man has been charged for his involvement in a bar fight in downtown roanoke last month. david creasy of roanoke is charged with malicious wounding and d-u-i. creasy got into a fight in the parking lot of martin's bar and then drove his car into one of the people he was fighting with. warrants say the group then pulled creasy out of his car and began fighting him again before he ran away. creasy's blood alcohol was nearly three times the legal limit. duke energy is being fined more than 7 million dollars. the department of environmental quality says the fine is for violations surrounding the coal ash spill at the company's dan river power plant in eden, north carolina 2 years ago. the agency says the civil penalties could be increased because this fine covers violations duke energy admitted when it pleaded guilty to federal pollution crimes nine months ago. the company previously agreed to pay 102 million dollars in fines and restitution. a follow up tonight: private animal shelters across the state will now see new regulations regarding adoption after it's third reading,
