you might have flashing lights around the interchange of 87 and 280 through downtown san jose. word that an animal might have been hit and we'll follow that up. i'll let you know if lanes are blocked by the activity there. we do know we have activity for construction south, traditional for southbound 17. that may be an issue for you as well as lower visibility. right here 880 coming off of eastbound 237, the transition ramp had crews, i saw the flashing lights earlier but the crews should be clearing up off of that transition. no major slowing through this portion of the south bay. 101, the expressway, that's the choice spot for the construction. over from the peninsula eastbound 84, dumbarton bridge,

so here's a live look at traffic coming out of downtown san jose. o bad towards cupertino. 880 the nimitz a little busier. you can see easily see those headlines going southbound. southbound looks okay towards oakland airport. northbound quiet towards downtown oakland. a lot of overnight roadwork has been picked up including on the did you remember dumbarton. that's all wrapped up. san mateo bridge never had any roadwork to talk about. 13 minutes in either direction between hayward and foster city. so san mateo bridge most of your bridges look good right now. there may still be some lingering roadwork on the bay bridge. you will notice left lanes blocked as you make your way past the pay gates where all the lanes merge right there before the incline so various lanes blocked scheduled until 6:00 this morning. and you may find the same thing on the lower deck. that's traffic. lawrence is searching for raindrops. >> i have been searching all winter. i haven't been able to find many. drizzle at the coast. clouds everywhere. really low enough this morning

bay that could slow you down. 280, guadalupe parkway, those freeways look okay coming out of downtown san jose. those headlights are northbound traffic on 280 by the 880/17 interchange. so our other traffic story we have been following involves mass transit. capitol corridor delays train 518, police activity and there are 35-minute delays on the train 518 from richmond to martinez. more traffic in a bit. in the meantime, we're talking weather with lawrence. >> the big weather story, where's the rain? another dying cold front slipping in a lot of clouds. we are mostly cloudy out there right now. but just can't squeeze out the raindrops. la nina year keeping the jet stream to the north. we are left with 40s and 50s with mild temperatures to begin the day. through the day this cold front bringing rain to far northern california but dry by the time it gets here. clouds move out of town as we look toward the afternoon. that means we'll see clouds parting a bit. temperatures up into the 50s, coastside, 60s in the valleys. when might we see some rain? we'll talk about that coming up in a few minutes.
