in the meantime 280 doesn't look too bad out of downtown san jose. definitely busier. when we first got on the air around 4:30 this morning we could only see a few headlights out of downtown san jose. so at the bay bridge they have wrapped up the overnight roadwork and we are starting to see delays in all lanes. there was a stall reported in the far left fastrak lane. looks like that's now cleared. i didn't see metering lights at last check. this is usually around the time they turn them on and all the approaches to the bay bridge look okay so not a bad ride yet heading into san francisco. if you want to beat the rush, head out now. these are your drive times for your popular routes for the east bay. slow on westbound 580. we are seeing real brake lights so far this morning. 19 minutes from the altamont pass out towards the dublin interchange. but so far, so good down the eastshore freeway. the nimitz is quiet. westbound 24 towards walnut creek towards the orinda area. bart might be a good option this morning. everything is on time including all those stops heading into

it's backed up from the 280-680 interchange with speeds below 20 miles per hour. 280 out of downtown san jose, just a couple of headlights so no big deal but the hotspot there for sure at least two lanes blocked running a traffic break southbound 101 heading out of san jose. all right. the bay bridge, your bridges are not too bad this morning including this live look at the bay bridge toll plaza. looks good across the upper deck. lower deck there may be some roadwork scheduled until 6:00 this morning. here's a live look at the san mateo bridge. we were following overnight roadwork on eastbound and westbound 84 the dumbarton bridge. that's all now picked up. it was actually picked up at 4:30 this morning so now all your bridges look good heading towards the peninsula. and the nimitz 880 through oakland. this is one of our "timesaver traffic" cameras and everything is quite the up and down the nimitz if you are traveling past the coliseum. northbound 880 between 238 and the maze is about a 15-minute drive time. and otherwise westbound 580 this still looks great. thanks, frank. >> no problem. >>

live look at 280 things cruising along northbound through downtown san jose. where if you are headed north 101 at coyote creek golf drive we have roadwork in effect. the right lane is closed at least until about 5:00 this morning. so just about 10 more minutes until they wrap up this construction closure but still some green on our sensors so not too many problems this morning. marin county, you can see 101 southbound no delays to report. you're clear as you work your way out of marin county into san francisco. once you get to the golden gate bridge, no problems. lane changes just a few minutes ago and traffic is free- flowing. 14 minutes to go southbound 101 from 580 to the golden gate bridge toll plaza. elsewhere 101 peninsula commute nice and easy this morning. northbound no delays. if you are headed to sfo, everything looks good. southbound 101 clear into the south bay. also, 280 both directions checking in problem-free. nothing really to report as you head northbound through daly city and southbound if you are work your way off the san bruno. we did have
