google is buying up land just west of downtown san jose. late shows us what they're up to. here's a look at the area where google is buying up a lot of land.. these tall buildings that's downtown san jose.. just to the west of that the big building with the white roofing that's the sap center the shark tank just a little over from there is diridon station.. this is the area that google is gobbling up just to the west of downtown san jose. we don't know for yet.. but it's believed they are building a new transit center here a research and development complex, and office buildings when it's all said and done they could potentially occupy 6 to 8 million square feet of space near diridon station and the sap centerit could be a like a little google city here. lightrail it would have it all. moving in and making this their new south bay campus.. they approved a deal to exclusively negotiate 16 city-owned parcels to the search giant.the believe this will help revitalize the west side of san jose, bring new jobs, and improve the dining and entertain
