in downtown san jose, 83 degrees and 85 for the high in milpitas.0s for the south county and then we head over toward the east bay with a high of 81 today. up to 90 in danville. and 80 today in fremont. check out this seven-day forecast up at the bottom of the screen. we are going to get a little bit hotter over the next couple of days and cool at the coast and heading up to 63 degrees and 74 in san mateo. mostly some mid to upper 60s in san francisco and then as we head up towards the north bay, up to 94. santa rosa today reaching 82 degrees. if you're on the way out the door, we have had to try to conserve and not use as much as far as our driving around the bay area. so if you're heading out to diridon station in the middle of the afternoon to runn errands, mostly low 80s for the middle of the day. if you have the evening off, maybe you can head to the a's game happening at the coliseum. first pitch at 7:03. 7:05 i should say. 63 degrees and dropping back to the upper 50s into tonight and then around morgan hill we'll have some warmer temperature

it happened around 9:30 near downtown san jose. a southbound train hit the pedestrian near first and jackson streets. first responders were able to free her and rush her to the hospital. she was conscious at that time. the extent of her injuries is unknown. september, by the way, is california rail safety month. >>> we now know the identity of the man who's body was found near a hiking trail in alameda county. authorities say 26-year-old max lopez of fremont was found dead in niles canyons. we've reported the body was found last sunday and police are now saying he was indeed killed. sheriff's deputies say two hikers found the 26-year-old's body near the railroad tracks adjacent to niles canyon road. this is about a mile east of pala morris road. detectives aren't saying how he was killed, but they do say it will help their investigation now that they know his identity. >>> his brother spoke to us about his brother's death. >> even if they get justice, it won't take this pain, this loss, that we have. >> lopez worked at a bakery her

downtown san jose, 85. 81 in walnut creek. and 69 in oakland. for the coast, only 59 at half moon bay. palo alto, 76 degrees there, and 66 in the mission district. north bay up to 78 degrees in santa rosa, and novato up to 79 degrees. as we look at the cloud cover, we are as you look out the window seeing high-level clouds out there, because of the trough. this elongated area of low pressure we're seeing moving in. it's not going to bring us any rain, but it will bring in more clouds heading into tonight as well as tomorrow. and then we should get some more clearing sunshine throughout the day as we see those clouds move from north to south. and then the marine layer will be back, bringing more clouds and fog to the coast for the end of the week. and our temperatures staying cool. upper 70s through saturday. early next week, we're still looking at some seasonable weather, low 80s through next tuesday. i'll have more on what's happening in the tropics and another look at the forecast coming up in a few minutes. >> all right. thanks, kari. >>> com

not a bad day in downtown san jose at 82. cupertino 81. we have an isolated 90 degrees expected tomorrow here in danville. a lot of temperatures in the inland valleys of contra costa and alameda counties will be in the upper 80s to about 90. closer to the bay, we have 72 in oakland. you're not going to warm up a whole lot, though, across the peninsula. 76 in redwood city. san francisco, 64 in the mission and a chilly 62 in the outer sunset. right here for marin, napa and sonoma counties we'll be in the low 80s tomorrow. you'll be comfortable here in mill valley at 77. now the forecast looks really great tomorrow, but there's going to be two things floating around in the atmosphere i want to let you know about it. we do have more haze from fires. i don't think it's going to be super thick smoke, but some of those particles in the atmosphere we'll have to deal with. and also the tree pollen is going to be high. if you can kind of prepare yourself for both of those, if you have any respiratory problems or allergies, i think you've got a nice
