suffolk. that's where police are investigating what happened today at a motel downtown. police say detectives were investigating a previous robbery at the super 8 on north main street this morning. that's when they heard what they thought was someone loading a gun inside a room. they called the swat team. a woman walked out of the room then police heard the sound of gunshots. police say a man then walked out of the room with a gunshot wound. he's in the hospital. the man who was shot during an attempted robbery at a metro p-c-s in the hospital and in jail. sylvester lipscombe now faces robbery and gun charges. detectives say he also faces thsoe same charges for crimes in hampton. investigators say lipscombe robbed the metro p-c-s on j. clyde morris blvd on december 23rd. police say he tried to rob the same store again - five days later, but an employee shot him. we're working to find out more about the businesses he's charged with robbing in hampton. virginia beach police say this man burglarized a citgo gas station. detectives say he broke into the business on diamond s
