one of the authors of the book doyle mitchell, jr. is joining me this morning to talk about the book and his family business that's still going strong after 79 years. doyle, thank you very much for getting up early and being here with us. the slogan ever the bank is getting -- of the bank is getting it done since 19 3w4. this causes -- 1934. this was not an easy time. this was right after the biggest bank collapse during the great depression. but your grandfather jesse mitchell, he was determined. give a blacks a bank they could trust. >> there were others involved, too. there were eight african- american business men that worked along with him. it was really a community effort because the community, there was 300 or 400 shareholders that came together and bought shares, pulled together their five and their ten and $15 and helped open the bank. >> what's amazing is in telling this story and the images of america talks about the various neighborhoods in this community that the bank started out with the one branch, six employees, about $
