tonight with the clearing skies, temperatures will drop to 45 in allentown, 47 in quakertown. 50 in doylestown 51 in norristown. 48 in vineland. those are chilly numbers for this early in the season. 51 in glassboro and westchester. now we have dry conditions across the area. this is the radar and satellite. there would be green if there was rain. there's no rain and there's no rain for quite a while. that's a different story. we have out in the atlantic we had a major hurricane develop today, hurricane edouard. out west, this is odile. it is streaming moisture toward arizona and new mexico and this is going to be a nightmare up there. it was a nightmare a week ago when they had flooding. three inches of rain is all it took to do all of this in the phoenix area. they're expecting three to six inches of rain with local nine inch amounts in parts of southern arizona and into new mexico. you're going to hear more and more about this over the rest of the week. it's not going to be good news. tonight, becoming clear and cool, 56 for the low in philadelphia. 46 north and west during the day tomorrow

the clear skies. 45 in allentown, 46 in quakertown and reading, isolated patches of fog and 49 in doylestownin norristown and in atlantic city and dover, 47 in vineland and 50 in chester, westchester and in glassboro. we have those dry conditions across the area. there's hardly any cloud cover at all in the east. and hardly anything that's headed our way from the west. so we're obviously going to be dry for a while. once in a while, the computer throws a green blip in there for no reason. then as we go through thursday, on friday we may start to see a flow coming off the ocean that may increase the cloud cover and set us up for cloudy start to saturday. there's hurricane edouard. it's still a hurricane and it is way out in the middle of the atlantic, kicking up the survey little bit along the atlantic coast. and odile is finally no longer a tropical depression -- or a tropical storm but look at the rain that is coming in to arizona and new mexico now. this is really, really bad news and there's going to be terrible flooding as a result of that over the next day or two. clear and cool again t

in quakertown, 40 in doylestown, 45 in mount holly. 40 in vineland and millville. 48 atlantic city, 46s in dover. so yes, a chilly night, even around the city area. the low 50 degrees in most areas. now, the clouds -- the fair weather clouds we had during the day, they were already diminishing. this is along the coast of south carolina. there's going to be a coastal storm developing with this. it's going to be solely molowly to the north. this is a futurecast model. the question of course will be how far north does this go? the storm is not coming straight up all the way at us but it could bring up enough moisture to give us rain, later wednesday night and into thursday as you can see here, this particular model just updated, had some fairly significant rain over a portion of the area, plus, the east and northeast winds. it can get pretty nasty wednesday night into thursday with that pattern. then things improve. clear and unseasonably cool for tonight. 39 in some of the coldest suburbs. for tomorrow, the chilly start, mostly sunny, highs only around 70 degrees. which is where we were
