doylestown. barely above freezing in mount pocono. it is 39 in washington township. and mount holly and coatesville and trenton wrightstown. 11:00 in the morning, in april. 40 degrees at beach haven. it is just nasty out there. even colder than it was at this time yesterday. several degrees colder in many parts of the area. but at least it is not quite as wet and it is not quite as windy. maybe some drizzle around but that's about it for now. a little bit more in the way of showers back to the west. but they're weakening. this is the area that is really going to build up today into severe weather in the ohio valley. that's what is moving in our direction for tomorrow. and the highest risk from the philadelphia area southward, that general risk comes after 4:00. and once again, the main threat i think, will be the gusty, potentially damaging winds. here is that chilly east wind. and as long as the wind stays that way, it stays chilly. but as we go into tomorrow that southerly wind starts coming in. and that's going to warm us up tremendously. and then the west wind comes in, and then we just get some nice mild

trenton. 7 in the poconos. look at these gusts from yesterday. poconos, 52 miles per hour that's tropical storm force winds. atlantic city, 46. peak winds gusts in philadelphia 45. doylestown we were wind whipped for certain yesterday. thankfullily the breezes -- thankfully the breezes relax today. the only question mark this is a small, little disturbance that could run the new york/pennsylvania state line. it could drop far enough south to bring showers north of the pennsylvania turnpike. i think most of us will stay dry. this little boundary layer this sets up the miserable weather for most of the upcoming week. this will collapse to the south. at the same time a serials of low pressure systems right here across deep south will push toward the northeast and both converge on the area. it just brings for a rather miserable stretch of weather tuesday through saturday. there's today the frontal boundary staying to the north on the warm side of things. maybe an isolated shower north and west late in the day. monday it's still to the north we're picking up a mild breeze. the phillies home opener looks beautiful. temperatures close to 07 degrees a lot of sunshine. 3:30 today.
