so the dph security and privacy team was started in 2016. a chief information security officer should be on board by the end of the month or the beginning of february. this will be our first information security officer. it was established in the beginning of 2018 we had act being chief information security officers to this point and it will be our first i'll tell you what they are responsible for. the chief information security officers has a team that report up to them and for business continuity and ensuring annual audits for security are performed and any findings discovered that have to be mitigated. the team also worked with the county of san francisco. 567bd operation have been on the service team and the epic team creation and support of the third-party systems to bring full functionality of epic. and we experienced staff last year and established the epic bill team from operations and within i.t. and people who v volunteered and we did assessments and sent them for training and they're working on the epic project today. the next two

then we partner with the city agencies which you see on your presentation dph, mta, controllers' office. it is an incredible partnership that really works well. top five collision factors, speeding, violating pedestrian right-of-way, running red lights and stop signs and turning. turns is the major cause of a lot of fatalities. we exam that to look at each collision. we measure with mta and engineers to see if there needs to be reengineering of the intersections or area, checking for lighting and scoon to -- and so on to change the area if there is not enough lighting to depending on what happens with the driver as well as individual. traffic violations we see october 2017 and 2018. you can see a reduction for 2018. that is for many different reasons. a lot of events we participated in, a lot of operations in regards to reducing violent crime in certain areas, our attention has been in different areas. we have more than vision zero as our responsibility. our goal in 2019 is to bring the number up to 50%. you can see the breakdown for the district stations. some are doing great. richmond

that's why it's important for dph to be part of the jail envisions. i wanted to point that out. the other thing about the jail report, unbelievable amount of work just if you think about an electronic health record and the sheriff at that time, somehow connecting, that's what latoya made happen. it's the first time we had the opportunity to look at that stuff. the report represents people who self-report substance abuse. we operate in the jail the biggest detox facility i in the city. we look at the people who told us what they used. they may not require medical assistance support like cocaine or intoxication and withdrawal. this likely represents an over estimation because it's self-report of use and not a diagnosis of a substance abuse disorder. part of that recovery involves support from the behavorial health staff and also medically assisted therapy which we provide in our jail and we have for decades and it is national model other jails are incorporating that in their treatment. we know there are big chunk of people who shouldn't be if the jail who are there because of thes
