dpw has put in curb ramps between the bart station and san jose, and that will make it easier for many residents, whether they are in a wheelchair or in a stroller. balboa park. we do not have next bus there. we have others that go there, and we have no indication as to when these buses will arrive, because we do not have next bus. everyone is crossing their fingers in different directions. nobody wants to admit what their responsibility is. it is an untenable situation and very unfair for people in my district. i have been fighting it, for years, in mudslide. it wasn't until recently that i came to realize about balboa park -- i will be fighting it, for years, it appears. pedestrians are constrained to use the balboa park station. we need to have a different approach to it. i am hoping we can have that happen. last year, we approved the better neighborhoods plan for balboa park. ocean avenue. just past city college on ocean avenue, also inclusive of balboa park, and the station itself. we actually zoned it for housing, but the mta does not want to look that pretty housing in trans in-

what perturbs me is dpw, and i know there are some people here from dpw that know me pretty well. if somebody comes and puts a little graffiti thing, they will find you about $300. and you have these nasty, dirty looking things on our electric poles. they are disgusting. lowering the property value. they do nothing. we need to find out what is the relationship between the service providers and dpw? and secondly, who gives them the right to go inside somebody's house, even though it is public right of way, and put these nasty things on these electric poles that in the first place, such things should never be put. these are huge boxes -- not all of them, but most of them. you have heard here from eric brooks and others that we can do this underground. we can use fiber optics. the city lost eight years ago when we allow comcast to do the underground, and we did not do it ourselves like other states. our city does not have the foresight. now that we have allowed these rascals to come into our neighborhoods and destroy the aesthetics, now, we are planning what to do. it is a bit too la
