dpw. we have been seeing all the impacts of the harm of water in san francisco and i saw dpw vehicles and employees working around the clock. my question is, and sure you can guess, it is about the urban forestry part and the trees. i have 311 app on my phone and i use it religiously. it is a great tool. i see a lot of good impact out of it and the only part of the 311 app that just gives you a message saying, leave it alone, we are doing it is trees. just to get a better picture of what's happening with those trees because they do cause damage and they did end with a life of a person. what can be done-? can we maybe get a presentation of urban forestry with the report of all these and what can we do to give the residents of san francisco access and at least authority or power to get their trees inspected immediately through 311? >> thank you commissioner zoubi. so, we do have a online map that shows people can go to to look at-first of all, let me start by saying, we can give you a presen

our commission will see all dpw contracts now. including for san station street services. this increased work load for our commission, we agree that most of the commodities, general services and professional services contracts will be handled on our consent calendar and of course we can request something be pulld and put on the regular calendar. we discussed grant approvals. most grant approvals fall under the expertise. we will now official low approve grants. we did agree to have the sas commission review them and make recommendations for action to us. on specific grants or on expected grant boards. we may only commission that cease the final grant detailings they'll have an idea they can give guidance. to assist us with our obligations, the second fuller will provide our commission with a month low summation of the sanitation and streets meetings including link to agendas and live links to the documents they review and we can access the documents on the their commission's website. >> i will meet regular low with sanitation and streets commission chair mogannam and brain

the trees other ficus dpw has a web page devoted to this type of tree. canopy but serious issues with ficus trees height, structure, size and rots make them susceptible to will limb failure or collapse. san francisco ficus trees age making them vulnerable to failure the risk associated with them are out weighing the benefits they provide. of due to the walk and other infrastructure damage caused boy rots and the species history of the limb failures banned the planting of ficus since the late 90's to address the mounting issues with the trees. the director of public works issued. . tree removal criteria for ficus the pruning of the trees provide clearance from the structure and provide cloerns from vehicles however, the trees meet the criteria required for removal under this order. one, dpw's website states that the roots of ficus cause damage to sidewalks making them buckle and tripping hazzard its is apparent in the 3 tree in question. you see that the tree grade is has begun to warp from the roots and affect will continue as time goos impacting the wal
