i think dr. burke and ms. albright understand our concerns. i think they're going to work with us to try to contain parking so that folks do not put themselves in harm's way. >> good afternoon. ruben sanchez in them. i own to thousand square feet at 34 53rd street. if it had not been for my friend, francisco da costa, i would not have known that this issue was coming up to rezone my building. , and neither do i see my address on this article, number 3. so it really concerns me that something is going to be rezoned with my 10,000 square feet without my knowledge. so i do not see this to be sunshined in any way. i would never have owned this. i do see health issues. as an owner, i know of a lot of health issues. one, starting with my friend door. there is a sewer smell coming out of this tree that is extremely strong. i would never put a situation of children smelling that disgusting smell. i do not have children in my building. it is purely adults, a construction company. but it is a serious concern. that toxic smell. and of course, the parking

i wanted to first say that night -- that i really appreciate the work of dr. burke and ms. albright. especially for the tipping point, putting tremendous faith behind it. i am just looking at a map. there is great access in the hill as well. location, location, location is critical for the success of centers that have the most vulnerable success in the city. i also see that there is transit along third street. a. davidson stopped at another stop. i hope that the parking and other issues can be worked out. a number of the people with concerns from the neighborhood raised issues that i feel passionate about. from the environment to when development happens, making sure that we are falling the protections for the neighborhoods that are the most polluted. but, i know that this is a zoning issue that will create a person -- first in the nation spot that will help children, that many of the activists are committed to. it is an issue of being the right location. i know that the doctor said that there were several different locations. you will have strong air quality filters and mo

dr. nadine burke harris, founding position of the cpuc bayview help center.was not until august of last year, the medical director. that i am here in my role as the ceo of the center for youth wellness. the reason i transitioned out of my previous role and into this role is based on the experiences that i have had in caring for children of the bayview-hunters point community for the past five years. in have done a wonderful job at the clinic in reducing hospitalizations and improving immunization rates for the kids in the community. in my experience, the number one health threat to kids in the community is exposure to violence and trauma. there is a tremendous amount of research that has emerged over the last 20 years to demonstrate that these exposures are damaging to children, not only in terms of the things that you would expect in that we know about, in terms of the risks for learning problems, behavior problems, mental health problems, but it turns out that the data shows that these exposures increase our kids risks to heart disease, chronic obstructive

burke marshall who served in the kennedy justice department said that these four judges, dr. speck mentioned them, including judge johnson, have made as much on american society and american law that the supreme court has ever done in history. if you look at these kinds of appointments and the consistency that president eisenhower put on the court, it's no surprise that someone like earl warren was put in charge of the chief justice of the supreme court. i have my theory about where the tension came from but dr. specht did a wonderful job of explaining the context and i want to give you an idea of what our court system was like during this period. my father's mentor was a man by the name of charles hamilton houston who became dean of howard law school where he mentored my father and a number of lawyers in the civil rights unit. he was clearly a brilliant thinker and tremendous law student at harvard. to give you a clue as to how much of a pioneer and how brilliant this man was, in 1935, he gave a speech that we recently founded at the library of congress where he laid out the
