dr. carson stand on that? >> well, i can't speak for dr. on and frankly we're not focused on senator cruz. his alleged financial irregularities are his business. i'll let him handle that with the media. dr. carson, though, has just put out the tax plan that helped solve financial irregularities among the family around the table. no way to game the system. and so we're very excited about that. that's the finances we're worried about, is the people in america. >> you're a retired u.s. army major general. you saw the video of those ten american sailors on their knees with their hands over their heads after they were detained by the iranians. their two vessels apparently slipped into iranian waters. what was your reaction to what happened there? >> well, i think, like senator mccain, my reaction was pretty visceral to seeing those sailors like that, in submission to another government. that should never happen. i also have learned as an army general that the first report is seldom accurate. i was suspicious when i saw the way they expressed the

dr. carson. when you heard that donald trump was going to boycott the debate, what was your reaction? usly, i mean, dr. paul skipped the last one and mr. trump is not going -- says he is not going to come to this one. we love all the candidates. it's a great opportunity for the american people and particularly the people in iowa to have an understanding of teaching these candidates vision, but, wolf, at the end of the day, this is each campaign has to make up their own mind as to what's in their best interest, and, you know, so we respect that decision. >> from the standpoint of the rnc, is it in the best interest to have trump in that debate? >> well, again, i would love to have all of these candidates in the debate. i think each one of them brings a unique perspective and gives voters an opportunity to hear them more before these keep caucuses and primaries that are cup. it's not my decision or the rnc's decision to tell them how or where to be or what to do. each of them has to make that decision as to what is in their best interest, and our job is to respect that decision. >> you c

dr. ben carson. now the very sad news that a ben carson campaign volunteer who was seriously injured in that crash earlier today has now died. there were four carson staffers and volunteers involved in this crash. three of them were treat anderson released at a hospital after their van went off the road in icy conditions and was hit by another car. but one of those campaign staffers was taken to the nearest trauma center. the nearest trauma center was just over the iowa border at the university of nebraska in omaha. he was 25-year-old carson campaign volunteer braden joplin. and again, we got word tonight that he has died because of his injuries in this crash. very, very sad news, especially a 25-year-old kid. it's a reminder for all of the roll licking pitch and catch and crazy competition and crazy personals of the presidential campaign, it's real human beings who are involved. it's very sad news. the carson campaign suspended work today when they heard about the accident. dr. carson says he plans
