dr. colfax. that article included a quote by dr. colfax stating that dr. colfax had asked for my resignation. it was obvious that the department had worked with the reporter in advance of the meeting by providing the examiner with that quote, it set the article up to inaccurately make it appear that i was terminated for an unspecified, derogatory reason. that statement will hinder my ability to be reemployed. and if employed, it is likely to reduce my ability to earn the same money or more than a made here. i worked for you for six and a half years. during that time, i successfully provided human resources support to implement the affordable care act and to do the hiring needed to create our health network in 2014. i ensured we were adequately staffed for our move into the new hospital in 2016, and most recently, i negotiated language with our unions to make sure the epic electronic medical record system could be implemented smoothly. these and many more accomplishments should have ensured me a respectful and informed separation. instead, the department and

dr. grant colfax. i am looking forward to partnering you. i want to acknowledge the many nonprofits who are in the room and across the community. it is across -- it is reason why we are able to apply this system of care. thank you. >> thank you. last but not least, i would like to say this is not a new challenge for our city. when we think about even going back as far as 1960s, the heroin epidemic, into the 70s and the 80s with a crack at get -- epidemic all of the drugs sadly that have really destroyed lives and destroyed communities and destroyed families, we know that we can't just turn a blind eye. we have to think about ways in which we can make sure that providing help, providing support integrated into what we do in our medical system. it has to be something that is accessible to all people and not just those who couldn't afford treatment. i have been out in the community on a regular basis. when i talked about safe injection sites, it is interesting that whether it is a wealthy neighborhood, and in between or poor neighborhood, i alw

dr. colfax's leadership. people have to know what the solution looks like.s is what the solution looks like. one people make the commitment for a change in their own lives, we as a city have to make the commitment back to them. that means not just a 90 day treatment program, although that is sometimes where it starts, but it also has to mean a commitment to housing. i think that they painted this picture that if people are going to take that big step themselves in their lives, many folks who maybe living on the street, maybe have been suffering with substance use disorder for some time, they need to know they will be off the streets. that journey will be one that they will carry with them over a much longer period of time and is not involved in going back out onto the streets. daniel, we are proud of you. we are inspired by you. i thank you represent what is possible and what is happening, and what health right 360 does every day. i want to recognize and thank the leadership of health right 360 and all of the staff who are here for your extraordinary work i

dr. colfax? >> thank you. i really want to acknowledge roland and his team. it is a huge amount of work and oversight. and we see we are making progress. we are not where we need to be yet. i also just want to acknowledge the commissioner's comments about not just process. some of these metrics are really important because it gets you to the outcomes and also we needed to expand our work in terms of the population-based approach. so what we are doing the clinics in doing the hospitals is really key, and when we look at health equity, when he to make sure we are bending the curve of the population model. having the population work within the network side, and we are strengthening other data systems, we can focus on the data science as one of our key areas going forward. we will continue to move in a good direction. wall where we are compliant with the compliance requirements, but we are also meeting the needs of the community and our metrics are driven by what we need to do in those areas. i appreciate that. >> thank you. dr. sung?
