dr. janet taylor is a new york city psychiatrist and dale atkins is a psychologist.birthrate of u.s. teens is down 6% which is good news, but not in memphis. what is going on there, do you think? >> well, you know, it's a multi-factorial problem. number one the county has a high rate of teen pregnancy but it is a problem with self-esteem. sometimes anxiety, depression. also family problems. the more connected girls are with mothers and fathers the less likelihood they will have a baby and a community problem from a school perspective and what's tolerated. teen moms who have babies, only 2% will go to college. so the economic impact is tremendous. >> it's huge. >> they made it clear in the piece that they don't believe this is part of a pregnancy pact like the school in massachusetts. but when you see a cluster like this what does it say to you? >> it says there is support amongst the girls themselves and also says something more important to me and, i think to janet as well. the kids need education, knowledge, information about how to make healthy responsible decisio
