dr. jackie is here with us. let's run down the list of questions, dr. j.st one is, why am i short of breath? does pregnancy do that? >> well, the first trimester, actually, naturally, the hormones can speed up your rate of breathing, so you can feel like your panting. and as the baby grows, it starts to push up on the diaphragm and the lung and you'll start to feel that and you'll have to breathe a little faster. lastly the area i'm most interested in is asthma. women can certainly have asthma that gets worse in pregnancy. you need to go see a physician who specializes in that and take your medication. so if you don't breathe, baby doesn't breathe. >> bad. why is my nose stuffy? i can't breathe. >> it's not your allergies. people will come in and say, it must be my allergy. it's something called rhinitis of pregnancy. it's the pregnancy hormones that make the inside of your nose swell. there is medication for that. >> and if you already suffer from allergies, you can have a double whammy there. >> you certainly can have a double whammy. >> i'm breaking out
