dr. harvey karp. first, dr. sears, thank you for joining us. we have been talking about ebola.re is also entero virus sweeping this nation currently. there are 500 people in 42 states suffering from it. four patients including a 10-year-old girl they have died. what is enterovirus and how much do we need to worry about the virus? >> parents are really, really scared about this. it is, a virus they have never heard of before. it is putting kids in the icu. seems to have caused a few cases of paralysis and kids have died from it. in reality this is a virus that comes from a family of viruss that pediatricians are very familiar with, the enteroviruses, it is behaving as we would expect it would. a typically late, summer and fall virus. so it is my hope that this outbreak. kind of at the tailened of it. as we get into winter the enteroviruses will disappear. that's what i am predicting. >> let's hope your prediction is direct. >> you mention, 500 cases. those are the confirmed cases. this is actually a very common virus. there are probably millions of cases of this across the count
