[applause] my agency seeks to give all of our officers, obviously the training and development they need in order to thrive in their work. we need to make sure that in every case accomplishment earns a seat at the table of leadership at the agency. by any measure, we don't have enough diversity in our senior grades. and bringing executives from the outside of the intelligence community is is not easy. and -- in the profession of the c.i.a. that's why we need to develop our junior and mid level officers. so that they can achieve those leadership positions. achieving greater diversity in senior leadership means giving up and coming officers what they need to earn
