dr. marshall, it was my first meeting it was a very warm summer night and we had to take our jackets off and we were in a very crowded auditor um and we were hearing about was gang violence. and red verses blue and 22nd and bryant and we heard about numerous shootings and homicides, it was completely different than tonight, while miss brown, i know that people continue to work on your son's homicide and we promise that will never leave our radar screen, but that meeting in the mission it was just about pure mayhem that was taking place and i think that a lot to do was the chief and the men and women and the san francisco police department and captain i know that you were involved back then when you were in the narcotics and you had a significant role in doing what cleaned up the mission district and now it is the captain and so i have to tell you that it is incredible progress out here in the mission and it is just great to be here tonight and it is a much, much different circumstance, but we can't do it without the community and i want to thank all of you for taking an active role from
