dr. michael baden. always good to talk to you. thank you. >> good to talk to you.ttorneys for a florida man accused killing his wife working on a very interesting defense, claiming her spray tan played a critical role in her death. rick is here with the story from new york city newsroom. rick, spray tan? >> reporter: that is the defense. prominent florida real estate developer, adam kaufman. is set to go on trial this week for murder of his wife he will la nor. he claimed he found his wife dead on the floor in the bathroom. it was two years that before her death was declared murder. it would be consistent with someone strangling her. the defense is offering another explanation from death of 33-year-old woman. they say he will la nor suffered violent reaction to spray tan she applied the day before. then she fell back on top of a magazine rack in the bathroom which caused her to choke to death. the prosecution scoffing at the defense's version of events but the state could be facing uphill battle at the trial, harris, there doesn't seem to be a motive here. no reaso

dr. michael baden who is forensic pathologist and fox news contributor. d to have you both here with us. dr. baden, let me start with you have the on set advantage. what do you make of the autopsy report? what did you green from it? >> i gleaned from it the comments about the knuckle injuries are invalid. megyn: trayvon martin had one. george zimmerman had reportedly no knuckle injuries. >> that's right. the muzzle weapon was up against the body of trayvon at the time of discharge. that it was within an inch when it was discharged. that would have been on the ground or standing up. can't tell from the autopsy. megyn: definitely fired close range? >> close range. the muzzle being next to the skin. then it went straight in. straight in through the heart. megyn: looking at the way he was killed, the injury to the heart, is there any chance fighting could have continued after the bullet entered trayvon martin? >> good question. conceivably for a few seconds, 10 seconds or something like that until collapsed. megyn: okay. there was no chance of reviving him wit

dr. michael baden and mark fuhrman join us again.other, caring mother close to her are own mother and family who goes to her boyfriend's house. her sister is supposed to pick her up that night. we know that the boyfriend says that she is sleeping when the sister comes to get h her and now she is missing and disappeared. so, i guess the question is he is the last to see her. he can't explain her disappearance. why are the police saying "we do not have a crime"? >> well, i can't see why they are saying that but it is pretty obvious that when the sister calls and he says she is asleep that was probably at a time there had already been a crime occurred so start the timeline just before that or significantly before that since the last time she was seen. but you don't have to have a crime. the job is of police work to find out if there is a crime sometimes, not just allow the suspect to conceal a body and say there is no crime. he goes out to get an ice cream cone and is gone ten minutes and she miraculously disappears and leaves everythin

dr. michael baden testifying that lena kaufman was not a victim of murder. charged with strangling her. her body was found on the floor of their bathroom back in 2007. at first kaufman said his wife died after suffering an allergic reaction to a spray tan. then the defense claimed she had a heart condition. where are we now? let's bring out our guests, faith jenkins and john manuelen, a criminal defense attorney. faith, you're listening to that as a prosecutor, dr. baden one of the most famous pathologists out there, what does ha mean for the prosecution's case? >> the prosecutors know it's not about what they believed happened, it's about what they can prove. and anytime -- they have the burden of proof. the defense, they don't have to put on any evidence, but in this case they have. they've decided to ri butt the prosecutor's -- rebut the prosecutor's theory and bring forth this expert who's offering significant testimony about the way they believe the victim in this case died and if jury is any kind of credibility to that, that's a big problem. jenna: joh

dr. michael baden, forensic pathologist, also a fox news contributor.nterestingly enough, he was also new york city's chief medical examiner in 1978 when etan n patz went missing. apparently, this guy is coming forward and confessing something. what sort of forensic evidence would you be looking for to confirm this man's story? >> the only way, jenna, to confirm the story is if he gives information as to where the remains are or if etan is still alive, to what family he may have been sold or given to. the unfortunate things with high-publicity cases such as john bow nay ramsey is that many people come forth and make confessions who have nothing to do with the matter, and the police have to sort all that out. there have been many people confessing to having done something with etan patz, and every now and then one of them gives information that may be correct, and that's what led to the digging up of the basement, and that's what leads to taking this hernandez into custody. but he's going to have to give some information to indicate where he delivered th
