dr. oz ♪ >>> by now you probably heard the news that the world health organization has added processed red meat to it's list of carcinogens it increases your risk of cologne cancer dunk that the way you cook your meat even white meat could also increase your risk for cancer? new study from the university of texas latest to show that cooking meat at high temperatures over an open flame increases your risk for cancer. the study found when you cook meat quickly with fire or high temperatures it's more likely to create certain chemicals that put you at a higher risk kidney cancer. burnt or smoke food can increase your risk of cancer. what should you do with these finding? we don't note yet whether high temperatures and flames directly cause sidney cancer this study found increases our risk. more rhee research is needed to find out if heat blasted meats cause cancer. limit the amount of meat you cook over a fire or high temperatures. try using a slow cooker which will help your meat cook more slo

grass fed or conventional raised dr. oz study that might help you decide. ♪ >>> some people argue grass fed beef tastes better than meat from grain fed could yous. is one safer for you than the other. new consumer study says yes. after testing 300 packages of beef the group found that more than 80% of the conventional samples had at least two types of bacteria on them while the grass fed samples had only 6%. theyly found antibiotic resistant bacteria on the convention al samples while these findings are interesting you should keep a couple of things in mind before you decide to spring for grass fed. first there's tests more conventional meat than sustai sustainable grass fed meat. there was more of a chance of finding bacteria on the convention al. second, the lower levels of antibiotic resistant bacteria in sustainablely raced beef was probably due to the fact these cows weren't fed antibiotics rather than the fact they ate grass. either way, if you're cooking your beef to 160 degrees, that should kill the bacteria on your
