rosemary williams. joining us now is nicole thompson on the right and dr. lori wilson with howard university cancer center. welcome, ladies. nice to meet you both. >> thank you. >> in for both who don't -- for people who don't know, who is rosemary williams? >> the late rosemary williams was a wonderful advocate for women. her advocacy was regarding equal access to quality care for underserved women and underinsured women. >> she did work with all sorts of cancers, breast cancer among them. >> absolutely. >> one of the things she was able to kick start but needs to kin, fund-raisers, treatment. there's been a lot of research over the years. as we know there's still a racial disparity. black women are more likely to end up with breast cancer or not have an initial treatment more so than other races. why is that and how do we fix it? >> there are a number of reasons. we have a number of opportunities from a genetic standpoint. >> so with genetic testing, one in three women at howard university meet criteria for genetic testing. that means being diagnosed with
