dr. sanjay gupta., so many americans and so many members of the gay and lesbian community were so impacted by your son's death and you've been very vocal in the wake of this. why do you think this crisis affects so many gay and lesbian and transgender youth? >> our foundation, my husband and i did start a foundation after tyler died because of so many of the great conversations that were started. and one thing we found out was that gay youth are more likely to be bullied. not all of them end up in the type of circumstances that tyler's did, but many of the same mental health issues that lyde to suicide -- and so one of the things i saw with tyler's story is that so many people saw what was happening to tyler and no one spoke up. and one of the things i learned when i started learning about bullying, is that most people in bullying scenarios have bystanders who say nothing, we want to turn those bystanders into up standers so that's our initiative. >> tyler had recently come out and was obviously going
