i saw capitol police, guns drawn, and they started running. they then told tourists, there were a few dozen or so, to get down on their stomachs. they abided by those orders, obviously. a few minutes later, capitol police told the tourists to run. it was quite an amazing thing to see. a few dozen or so tourists actually sprinting over towards independence avenue. i then also saw police pursue a car that went out of my view. from what we have garnered so far, a chase ensued. after this, guy, after the suspect was apprehended, we presume, a helicopter actually landed on the west front, which turned out to be a medevac helicopter. the capitol police officer in that helicopter was not shot. he was injured when his car rammed that of the suspect. we were told the suspect is a woman from the sergeant in arms. we were told there was a baby in the car. the baby is doing okay according to the sergeant in arms. they're taking the baby to it the hospital. the baby is not injured, we believe to be the case right now. we were in lockdown mode until just ab
