>> well, first, let me answer the first question, which is dreamworks animation is 13 years in the makingies. eighteen years of those 19 have been profitable. i definitely don't think there has ever been a more consistent profitable movie enterprise. the average box office of those 19 movies is over $500 million. because we do produce movies at a very expensive high-end, we can have something amiss like this. so yes, we have to do this. but the movie business has been extremely profitable for our company and expanding into television does not lessen that risk. what it does do is creating some stability and other revenue horses. but you know, we love the movie business. definitely we are not shying away from the business. we have three big titles next year. >> at the same time, people talk about the volatility that you mentioned. this is something that steven spielberg talked about where you have a blockbuster ticket prices and the ticket prices for what you would call smaller movies. there is this idea you have popcorn and that sort of thing. is that interesting to you when you charge dif

netflix has struck its largest original content deal with dreamworks animation providing more than 300amworks characters from the likes of ""shrek"" and "kung fu panda" and e news correspondent here with the breaky news, ken baker. ken? >> it's a major deal. sending shock waves through the industry and i'll tell you why that is. this deal will allow netflix to stream 300 hours, that's a minimum, of original programming from dreamworks animation starting next year, and it's a win for net. ics -- for netflix because they are trying to compete with cable networks with similar kinds of programming. it's a big win for netflix. a huge debut with "arrested development" that was very well received and that was just the beginning. this is really seeing the beginning of internet television really coming to fruition. everybody has been talking about it for a long time. a major deal. if you don't have contempt, you don't have a lot of people coming. the other thing is this. this is also a good thing for -- for dreamworks because mostly they have been focusing on two movies a year and if one busts,

more than 300 hours of original shows based on dreamworks' animation characters coming to your netflix account beginning next year. despite the story, both stocks rallying on the news. s&p still has the ratings on its hold on netflix. we're focusing on the two right now. on the technical side of the story, and on the fundamentals. gentlemen, good to see you. carter, kick us off here. how does the chart of netflix look to you? >> let's look at the five-year chart, and that's what i have here. obviously this is a case of great euphoria, great despair. the last five years, the stock went into entering a bear phase and a bull phase for the last six months. here we are at 230, and it's a symmetry of the latest advance over the last six months compared to the si mymmetrical decline. we'll stay with this very bullish stock. >> do you agree the stock is going higher? >> i'm more mixed. i'm not necessarily bearish on it, but it's a very hard stock to judge fundamentally. there are two positives and two negatives i see in netflix. the first positive is it is almost 40 million subscribers and vid
